More from our trip around the Olympic peninsula:
The "Walls of Green" are both soothing and incredibly tall,
The Pacific NorthWest shores are rocky and littered with driftwood,
My Sweet Lady along the shore,
Lots of beauty here!
A moment of Serenity and Balance,
We stopped at a Ranger/Visitor center... that's a whale's skull,
A lakeside stop,
The Olympic mountains still have snow on them,
That's their backdoor, and the Puget Sound is in front, nice!
The Washington Ferry taking us from Port Townsend to Coupeville on Whidbey Island,
Loading onto the ferry, after a long wait,
My o my, my Lady is beautiful,
Doesn't she just light up any room? For sure!
We are on Whidbey Island, NAS Whidbey, and today we have a "down and rest" day... no major destinations, just a short cruise around the island and the base and some nice meals too!
We are looking forward to the homeward legs, planning now around Yellowstone and Rushmore, and then things depend on the weather....
