Monday, September 24 and Tuesday, September 25

Oh Boy!
Here we are, our last full day in Korea, our last day of this wonderful adventure, and one more day to get some things and get packed for our trip back home.

What a terrific trip it's been!  It has been all I had anticipated and more.  I've been updated and reeducated and now been "grounded" a whole lot more than before.

Yesterday, Monday the 24 was the last escorted tour event.  It was a trip to the 5th tallest building in the world, the tallest in Korea, the Lotte Sky building.  What a magnificent feat of engineering and build.  It took over 6 years to build and they did a phenomenal job.  We had lunch there and a short visit to the museum in the underground portions of the tower and then a short ride to the banks of the Han River for a night boat cruise on the Han with some fireworks and lights displays.  A fitting end to our tour for sure.

On our way to that tall building there, the Lotte Sky building.
You can see some of the innumerable high rise buildings that now line the river on both sides.

One of the many, many condos, apartments, and office buildings.

The Sky Building... a neat concept to keep it solid all the way to the top by tapering the floors as you go up.  It's over 130 stories, 589 meters tall, or 1,932 feet tall!  That's getting up there!
For a helo pilot, that's way higher than normal cruising altitude!!!

The entrance with a flight timetable for the elevators... 119 floors in less than a minute... Wow!!

One of the many views from the 119 floor... you can see over 30 miles in every direction.  It was a beautiful, clear day so we could see up to the DMZ to the north and to Bundong to the south, the Western Sea and the mountains to the east.  Wonderful!

A view to the east and the urban scrawl of high rises!

View to the north and that distant set of high rises are near Tong Du Chong...

Looking toward central Seoul, with the Bu Gak mountains behind the main palace...

The aquarium was very nicely done, even had a pair of Beluga whales!!

Then we went to the Han River night cruise, with some nice surprises.
This was the "Rainbow Bridge" where they spray water and light the waterfall with colored lights for the rainbow effect!

My Darling and the Moon!  She is the Moonshine and Sunshine of my life!
What a wonderful and memorable adventure this has been.

Below is a brief summary of our trip.  I'll try to update it with pictures of the Korean tours later...

And, that's it for now, more to come... we have to go get some things and pack up!

May God bless you and keep you always in His love, mercy, and grace.  May His blessings flow over you and shower you with all the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
